"Great Service Department"
It's an understatement to say that electrical problems in cars can be difficult to diagnose. Especially intermittent ones.
I took my 99 Avalon (yes, I am the only person under 55 that drives this great car) to Boulder Toyota for an air bag warning light problem. Paid to have it fixed and away I went. However after a short time the light started to come back on - again intermittently. After the second return trip we finally got it to come back on while at the shop.
Boulder Toyota changed the diagnosis and without going into a lot of detail about the the exact parts etc... it was apparent to all that the initial diagnosis and repair was incorrect and unneeded. Most dealerships and independent shops would have said "tough" or "we had to replace the first set of parts to find out the problem with the other parts" or some such BS. Not Boulder Toyota. The service writer said "do you want me to cut a check for the initial repair or apply it to the next repair? I was blown away by the honesty.
I have not decided what to do about the needed and very expensive repair but I went ahead and had them do a complete brake job (to replace the crap installed at Mineke) and applied my credit to that work.
I have never had a service place stand so tall and be so honest.Mark M, Boulder

Dear Sir,
We are writing to thank you for the excellent service that we have received from Boulder Toyota's Service Department over the past 5 years. During that time we have had out two Toyota's serviced by your department on numerous occasions and each time we have received excellent service.
In particular we would like to commend Dale Baker and his co-workers on the Red Team. Dale is the model of what a service team leader should be. He is helpful, honest. reliable, and thoroughly professional and he is supported by an outstanding team of service technicians. We feel confident that each time we bring our vehicles to Dale to fix a problem that the cause of the problem with be quickly identified, the problem fixed, and that we will be charged only for the work that truly needs to be done. Likewise, we know that when we bring our cars in for routine service that Dale and his team will put them into tip top shape and not recommend service that is not really needed. Boulder Toyota is indeed fortunate to have employees like Dale and his team.
After having dealt with numerous other automotive service departments, we know how difficult it is to find a service department as excellent as Boulder Toyota's. We truly appreciate your excellent work.,
