What's the difference between the 2017 and 2018 Toyota Camry?
Exterior
The exterior of the 2018 Camry has been redesigned, so the body is longer, wider and lower compared to the 2017 Camry. The side glass has been lowered, giving the illusion that the cabin has sunk into the body frame. There are slight differences in body style depending on which trim level you choose. The Camry LE is more reserved in styling compared to the sporty SE trim, while the Camry XLE and XSE trims have luxurious touches.

Interior
The 2018 Camry received more soft-touch and textured surfaces, a nice upgrade compared to the 2017 Camry's inexpensive-looking plastic materials, while the new SofTex vinyl seats feel more like leather.

Fuel Economy
The 2018 Camry also received a new engine! Camry's 2.5L 4-cylinder engine now outputs 203 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, compared to the 2017 4-cylinder engine that produced 178 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can expect to receive better fuel economy with the 2018 Camry, which gets an estimated 28/39 city/hwy mpg (compared to 2017 Camry's 24/33 city/hwy mpg). The optional 3.5L V6 engine on the XLE and XSE models produces 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque, and gets an estimated 22/33 city/hwy mpg.

Standard Features
The new Camry features lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning and automatic braking, LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth. For Camry's upper trim levels, the standard features include additional USB ports, a color head-up display, JBL sound system that includes Clari-FI digital music enhancement, an 8-inch touchscreen and full-speed adaptive cruise control that is active in stop-and-go traffic.

Safety
Standard safety features for both the 2017 and 2018 Camry include side-curtain airbags, front- and rear-side airbags, front-knee airbags, anti-lock brakes and a backup camera. The 2018 Camry also features forward-collision warning system with automatic braking and lane-departure warning (both items only found on the upper trim levels in the 2017 models).
